Baritone, Jose Vazquez is a graduate of University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, currently studying with Oscar Diaz of Performer’s Music Institute. He is performing in 2022 with the Florida Grand Opera and Palm Beach Opera, and has appeared onstage as The Prophet/King in Nico Muhly's “Dark Sisters” at the Miami Music Festival as well as Jose Tripaldi (Ainadamar), Marullo (Rigoletto), Papageno (Die Zauberflote), and Bartley (Riders to the Sea) in past productions. He has played several leading roles in musical theater shows (Spring Awakening, Wild Party, Into the Woods), and in works of Shakespeare with the Shakespeare Troupe of South Florida (Romeo, Demetrius, Edmund). Aside from the stage, Jose’s passions lie in songwriting, reading, and storytelling. He has released two self-produced albums, managed and performed in a local-band with his friends, and directed two full-scale dramatic productions.
